How it leaves

Everything made across China still has to leave it. Each region funnels to a gateway port; the inland hubs increasingly leave by rail to Europe. Toggle a mode to isolate it.

The corridors

Reading the map

Diamonds are the seven gateway ports. Coloured lines run from each production region to the port it ships through. The gold line is the China-Europe Railway, fanning in from the inland launch cities and exiting northwest through the Alashankou/Khorgos crossing. Dashed grey arrows mark where the sea lanes head offshore.

How long it takes

Indicative door-to-port transit by mode and destination. Ranges, not quotes — actual times shift with season, carrier, and customs.
